BCM Competition V.1 (Best Connection Model)

The BCM Competition was a creative, hands-on challenge designed to test students' engineering and structural design skills. Participants were asked to build a section model using only cardboard material, with specific types of structural connections.

The model's shape had to be inspired by steel structural sections, ensuring a realistic representation of construction elements. Each model was then subjected to a load test, where a lever applied increasing weight on the cantilever.

The winning team was the one whose model sustained the heaviest load without significant damage to the structure, showcasing both innovation and engineering accuracy.

BBM Competition V.2 & V.3 (Best Bridge Model)

The BBM Competition challenged students to design and construct bridge models using only wooden sticks, under specific connection rules and restrictions (e.g., limited use of certain adhesives, etc.).

Each bridge was tested by gradually applying weight until structural failure occurred. The winners were the top three teams whose bridges carried the maximum load before collapsing, demonstrating strong engineering skills, creativity, and precision in structural design.

Welcome Party for First-Year Students

The Welcome Party was organized to greet and support first-year students as they began their academic journey. The event included welcome gifts, interactive sessions to introduce students to the different departments of the Faculty of Engineering (Telecommunications, Architecture, Construction, and Mechatronics), and an overview of student activities on campus.

Structure Workshop

The Structure Workshop was organized to prepare students for structural engineering competitions such as the BBM (Best Bridge Model). During the workshop, students learned about competition rules, how to apply and register, and the essential steps of working on a project from start to finish.

It also provided guidance on strategies to maximize their chances of winning, while giving participants deeper exposure to the world of structural competitions and practical engineering applications.
